FIHC raises money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital |
< Go back |
The Foothills Indian Horse Club raised over $2000.00 on May 9, 2009 by holding a Saddle Up for St. Jude™ benefit horse ride at the Parker Bowie Foundation trails in Iva, South Carolina.
The St. Jude Children’s hospital is a leader in research in finding cures for childhood diseases such as cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude covers all costs not covered by insurance for medical treatment rendered at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Families without insurance are never asked to pay. St. Jude relies on donations to continue it’s mission.
We thank the volunteers and Sponsors who made the event possible: The Parker Bowie Foundation; Eden Scott and Mike Kinsey, for clearing and marking the trails; Ed and Crystal Yousey and their families for organizing and running the event; and all the Sponsors as well as the board and club members who pitched it to help. The Foothills Indian Horse Club is a family friendly organization that holds a number of relaxed and affordable horse shows.
